We are very happy to share some of our new work which was realized in collaboration with Sabine Mescher Visual Communications for Juwelier Zimmer. Schichtwechsel by jewellery designer Michael Bischoff is a ring system which can be combinated in various ways and really impressed us during our shoot. We had a good time on set creating the people shots for the Schichtwechsel lookbook 2017. Attached you can find some little insights. Last friday we have been to vernissage of the BFF Photoweeks at Haus der Wirtschaft in Stuttgart. We really had an awesome time inbetween those many interesting and various works from the BFF photographers. Thanks for coming over and making this evening so great. The exhibitions can still be seen until July 7th at the HDW in Stuttgart for the ones who did not make it - here also are some little insights.
The this years PX3 Awards just announced their winners for 2017 and we are very pleased about being honorable mentioned with our series "Dunes, 2016" at the Fine Art / Abstract category. It was the second time we sent in some of our work at the competition and we are very delighted about being nominated in between this huge amount of great works from over 85 different countries. Looking forward the next one.
We are very delighted to announce the first dates of the BFF Photoweeks 2017 at the HDW Stuttgart where some of our works are going to be exhibited. The vernissage opens at 7pm on June 23rd. For those who can not male it to the opening the group show can be seen until July 7th in Stuttgart. We are really looking forward a nice evening with known and unkown faces inbetween various artworks having a cold beer and a good chat. For more information just click the image below. We are very happy to announce that we are part of the current BFF Magazine #7. It is our first publication at the magazine and after a long time considering what to publish we finally decided for some of our work we captured during our last trip to Africa. The complete series also can be seen at our people gallery from now on. Here are some insights of what the magazine is and what it contains. The magazine is one further step to present our work and it feels very good to have those images in a printed version beside many other great photographers.
New work online - we just updated some new documentary series to our people gallery which emerged during our last trips to Unguja, Tanzania and Barcelona, Spain. We also have some more plans for this summer and are currently at the conception of several ongoing projects. There also are some open submissions as well and we are really looking forward the next weeks. The creative kitchen is cooking - stay tuned!
This March one of our photographs has been selected as one of the finalists at The Independent Photographer 2017. We are very delighted about seeing our work out of the series "Deserts, 2015" in between those awesome works at the landscape category. At this point we congratulate everyone who made it to the finalists and also would like to thank Cody Cobb & the rest of the team for this awesome feedback. For the ones who are interested we can really recommend checking out the website the inspiring images and interesting stories behind them. We are looking forward the exhibition in Berlin and the book at the end of the year. Thanks for having us!
We are glad to announce that our series „Islands“ was shortlisted at the this year’s Communication Arts Photography Competition. It is the second time this body of work made it to the finalists of an international highly regarded collective. Even we did not make it to the winners both of us are very delighted about being part of the competition and are really looking forward the next one. At this point we also would like to congratulate the winners who will be published around June 2017.
This week Graphis announced the winners of their this year's Photography Annual Awards 2017. It is so awesome that our series "Fields" has been awarded with the Merit Award 2017 and we feel totally happy being part of this great photography competition which first was published in 1966 and turned out to be one of the most prestigious ones worldwide. It is the second time that our "Fields" recieved an award and we really appreciate being approved in the way we work and are capturing our images. Looking forward the next one year - great works at your show!
We are very delighted about being a fivefold nominated at the Intenational Color Awards 2016. The 10th year's competition recieved 6178 entries from 75 countries and the winners announcement took place on Saturday March 4th, 2017. We are very glad that our work "Islands I, 2014" received a honorable mention & is one of the winning images at the professional nature category. The International Color Awards is the leading global award honoring excellence in color photography and there have been many inspiring works from photographers all over the world. It is so amazing being listed in between the winners - thanks for having us.
After some weeks of postprduction we are glad to show some insights of the wedding we shot in September this year. Even the weather was not on our side this day we really were delighted about being part of this wonderful and funny wedding with the original slogan called "festival". We enjoyed the day with Sissa & Phil and it was a great experience shooting with them through this spectacular and non usual celebration. At this point we wish you two all the best - keep on rockin'. This November we had the chance to make a great journey to probably one of the most awesome places of this planet. The trip has been very interesting and emotional for us and we had the chance to get known to some really warm hearted and open minded people over there. Also there have been a lot of oppurtunities for us to have a insight to the Swahili culture and their friendly way of living. The trip defininetely had been an enrichment to us and we are glad to call some guys our new friends - see you again. New work coming soon.
We are very delighted about being nominated for four of our series at the professional category at the this years International Photography Awards. It was the first time we sent in some of our works to the IPA and it is great to get this positive response. For the this year's competition there where 17040 submissions from over 162 countries and it really is nice to be one of the honorable mentioned. Stay tuned.

Last week we have been on a vacation to a small island called Rømø which is placed in the north sea in Denmark. We all had a really nice time together and also took the chance to capture a new and abstract art series over there which can be seen at our artwork gallery. The island itself is a very nice place with lots of different facets and even from rain to sunshine we had a wide range of impressions during this week. Thanks to everyone with us who made this trip such a great experience. For the ones who are interested here are some little insights.
Last Friday we have been to Villingen-Schwenningen and realized one of our longer planned, personal art projects. After a nice trip through the blooming fields on a very sunny day we finally arrived at the local airfield where we met our pilot Henryk Kuner from Cabrioflug who introduced us to his gyrocopter. We really had a very nice time together and took off in the early evening of an awesome spring day. Below there are some little impressions of this great day and also a little video shortly before getting back on the ground. The final results are going to be published on our website, soon.
We are very happy to announce that Johannes from now on is an official junior-member of the BFF photographers association. Since our first steps in photography the BFF always has been a measure for quality, collegiality and inspiration for us. It really is awesome to be part of this professional organization and we are really looking forward having a good time together with those inspiring people.
Last weekend we visited the two medical offices in Vilsbiburg, lower Bavaria where some of our artworks are permanently installed. It is really awesome for us to get impressed by those printed works everytime we get there. At this point we definitely want to thank Ulrike & Matthias so much for the great support they are giving us and their choice to get some of our works as a printed version at their places.
Today we received a new master copy of "Islands I, 2014" - it is the first time we tried out a new size which really impressed us. There will be some more steps to fine tune it but we are really looking forward to get this series also started in 180cm x 120cm in an edition of maximum 3 works per image.
